Okay, this is for the discussion of Anime that people watch.
Feel free to discuss any and all on topic shows.

Personally, as the the title implies, I'm partial to Yu-Gi-OH(Original series)
Also enjoy the Notorious 3: Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece
Lesser knowns include Death Note, Chobits, Soul Eater, Hellsing, Tokyo Mew Mew and Fullmetal Alchemist

Currently looking into:
Lucky Star, Azumanga diaoh, and several others I can't think of off the top of my head

First question for you guys:
Do you think Avatar: the last Air bender is considered an Anime?

...Sorta.

It's kind of...Americanime. If that makes any sense at all.

...Well, Tenchi Muyo! is my favorite anime, I think. FLCL comes in a close second.

You definitely need to check it out, Ynot.

Plus, you should check out Cromartie High School. Just about the funniest anime I've ever seen.

Any way, if you could, describe the basic plot of Tenchi Muyo! ?

Well...

...There is a high schooler named Tenchi Masaki. He spends most of his time living with his widowed father, but during the summer, he does chores and practices swordsmanship at his grandfather's shrine.

However, all his life, he's been warned to not head into the cave behind the shrine. This is because a terrible oni was sealed there long ago by his ancestor, Yosho. ooh fairy tales~ So, he heads in. Long story short, he's scared half to death by a demon-mummy that comes to life, he closes the cave back again, and swears to never go back.

Blah blah blah, normal day at school, blah blah...Then, the mummy finds him. As it turns out, she's a demonic girl a bit older than him, named Ryoko, and she was sealed long ago for what she sees as no good reason.

Following this, she chases him around and ends up blowing his school sky-high. She almost kills him when he calls her a "monster", until a trinket from earlier in the episode activates and cuts her hand off.

It is when Tenchi genuinely shows regret that he hurt her that Ryoko leaves him be. He goes home, gets ready to go to bed...

...And there's Ryoko, sleeping in his bed since before he got there.

Things get a little~ crazy from there.

Basically, it was the harem anime that set the tone for just about all harem anime to follow.

Before Tenchi Muyo, the "harem" usually loved a guy for looks alone. Typically, he was an @sshole.

Then comes Tenchi Muyo! - The first harem anime where all the girls fell in love with the young man for his genuine kindness.

Also, it introduced the Tenchi Solution and the Sasami Effect.

T'was the first anime I ever watched. Ever.

I still love it, all these years later.

Touching, eh? I know it is.

Ah, memories~

FLCL FTW.

I was into "Code Geass", but the changing of Adult Swim schedules have messed me up. I'd honestly get into many anime shows, if I didn't have the tendency to miss episodes.

I also think I'm going to start looking up Gundam episodes on the tube of you.

Nearly all of these have been messed up by what people can show on television (especially Naruto), so I usually watch them from other sources.

If there is one thing I LOVE, it is Avatar: The last airbender. In my opinion, it is the best Americanime, and all other ones should try to follow in its footsteps.

What other shows would you consider 'Americanime'?

Well, my definition of Americanime is an American cartoon that's art style and general animation style as been adapted to the anime style. It can also mean an Anime that is strictly in an English version.

Can't come up with some off the top of my head, but there are loads hidden in cartoon channels.

One example of Americanime that I liked was Teen Titans....

Or at least the Slade and Brother Blood episodes.

Okay, that tears it, I am watching the whole of The Last Airbender series again.

Has anyone seen the movie? I heard it sucked.

TT was one that I watched, but never got to catch up with the freaking story because it did't air too much.

I saw it, and IMO, it was pretty good, only things they omitted to my disliking was the trip to Suki's Island and Koizilla
Other than that, it's pretty faithful to Book I

Imma probably buy the DVD/Blu-ray of it.

If not, I suggest seeing it, even if it is only the first episode. (Be sure to watch the subbed version! Dubbed versions suck!)
