Owner: Young boy, You could not afford such brilliant technology!

Setsuna: I know.

*Setsuna uses his power of possession to enter the Owner's body, pick up a rifle, and give it to Setsuna, before the 1-minute limit is reached*

Owner: Wait... How... Why did I?

Setsuna: Goodbye!

*Setsuna walks off*

*Setsuna gets many strange looks*

*Abruptly, a sizeable airship begins to set down*

*Painted on the side in bold black letters is the name: SKY CARD*

*After a short while, Jimmy Pop, Flair, and Kat emerge*

Kat: *Shouts back into the ship* You just stay inside the ship, okay, Scarlet?

Scarlet: M'kay! Ah'll behave rilly rilly well an' -

*CRASH*

Flair: Scarlet~ What was that~?

Scarlet: Ummm...Nothin'! *Can be heard scampering off*

Kat: Heheh. Well, we're just here to pick up supplies, right?

Jimmy: Yeah. You and me will take care of groceries. Flair, keep out of trouble.

Flair: Why are you saying that to me so specifically? I never get into trouble. Never.

*The girl called "Samjam" makes her way to the kitchen*

*An anthropomorphic chameleon girl, she bears scaly green skin and pupilless yellow eyes. Her long, narrow tail coils up slightly at the end. Atop her head is a striped orange witch's hat with ringed chameleon's eyes and a wide mouth. She wears a pale gray vest, a longsleeve black shirt, a long skirt - Black with large white polka dots - Dark gray thigh-highs with pale gray rings, and white calf-height boots*

Samjam: ... *Looks around* ...Jubei. Who are all of these people?

Jubei: They're gonna be helpin' ya on this little mission. Say hello, everyone!

Samjam: ... *Stares at Kensa, Etende, and Jarvis blankly* ...

*Setsuna Stares adoringly at Kat*

Setsuna: Wow... what... have I been inhaling.. such... beauty... yhrrrrr....

*Setsuna is overwhelmed by Kat so much that he is knocked unconscious*

Kat & Jimmy: *Stare down at him a while*

*However, they soon walk around him and head for the grocery store*

Kat: What a creep. *Fur bristles slightly*

Flair & Scarlet: *Sit together on the couch*

*As they watch TV together, Flair gives an indignant huff*

Flair: Stupid quiz shows, taking up all the airtime. *Storms out* Tell me when the cartoons are on.

Scarlet: ... *Looks back to stare at the TV show* ...

Quiz Show Host: The final question, Derrick...What...Is the atomic mass of Palladium?

Scarlet: 106.4 *Smile*

Contestant: Uh...Uhhh...109?

Host: I'm terribly sorry. It's 106.4, so you lose...

Scarlet: Stoopid. *Gives a smirk*

*Suddenly, Setsuna gets up, a raging nosebleed spewing his blood everywhere, and begins grabbing Kat, touching her in all varitety of unnaceptable places*

[ Desert Town Dalharn: ]

Kat: *Growls bestially*

*In a flash of yellow-orange, Setsuna is knocked back with blood spattering all over*

Jimmy: *Levels a revolver with Setsuna's chest* Is Jimmy Pop gonna hafta shoot up a b!tch...?

Kat: Yes! Shoot him! Shoot the pervert!!

Jimmy: I'm trying to deliver bad@ss quotes...

Kat: Shoot him now!!

Jimmy: *Sigh*

*Suddenly, Setsuna's eyes change back to blue, and... so does his personality?!*

Setsuna: Gah... No... Please *raises arms over face* It wasn't me, it was my alternate personality, Allelujah... He takes control when I fall asleep! You can tell by our eyes - Mine are blue, his are red! Please! don't kill me!

*Begins crying*

Setsuna: Please! I'm just a little kid!

[ Desert Town Dalharn: ]

Jimmy: ...Good grief. Quit blubbering.

*Revolver lowered, he turns and walks away*

Kat: *Glares at Setsuna a few moments, before following*

[ Grocery Store: ]

*The two have split up to do some shopping*

Jimmy: *Looks through the meat section, appraising the selection*

Kat: *Passes by a large row of cartons, seeing the "Two-For-One" sign plainly set up*

*Her mouth curls up in a smile and her eyes narrow*

Kat: Creeeeeaaaaammm... *Moves in*

*A minute or two later*

Jimmy: *Stares blankly* ...Seriously.

Kat: *Is balancing at least a dozen cartons of cream in her arms*

Jimmy: *Glare* No.

[ Suddenly in the shop where Kat is]

Booooooom!

[ A missile flies through the door and explodes, blowing up everything and killing lots and lots of people ]

[ Outside, in the sky, in a Fighter Jet]

Setsuna: Muahahaha! You will all burn!

[ Setsuna presses another button, and some hellfire rockets rain on the village, killing many people and burning them ]

[ Outside Ide: ]

Viin: Sure, join us, if you want.

*Petal and Chirrup manage to reach the ground in controlled flight without falling, however exhausted*

Viin: ... Can you two walk?

Chirrup: ... Kinda...

*Chirrup gets up from being slumped on the ground, while Petal stays laying on the ground limply*

Chirrup: It's okay... I got you...

*Chirrup picks up the light beegirl in her arms, carrying her towards Viin*

Viin: Fine. I'll take her.

Petal: Ugghhhhh...

*Chirrup exchanges Petal to Viin's arms, and they turn to the direction of Ide*

Viin: Well. Let's go on, I guess.

[ Road to Ide: ]

Tager: *Still carrying Lambda*

*All is silent for a while, before he speaks in his deep tenor voice*

Tager: Where are you lot from, if I may ask?

*He carefully adjusts Lambda in his arms*

[ Desert Village Calharn, Sky Above: ]

*A dull thud lands atop it*

???: WU-TAH WU-TAH WU-TAH WU-TAH WU-TAH WU-TAH WU-TAH WU-TAH...

*With a series of punches, an unknown being damages the jet until it goes on a course straight for the ground*

*Suddenly, an axe-kick shatters the cockpit open and allows an arm to drag Setsuna out*

*The mystery figure leaps to the ground with no damage, tossing Setsuna to the dirt*

???: Remember!! Eat three square meals a day and maintain a balanced diet!! BOOM!! *Disappears*

*In the next instant, Setsuna finds a revolver leveled with his face again*

Jimmy Pop: Huh? What'cha doin' huh!? Killing innocent people!? Huh!? Huh!? Huh!? *Pupils turn snakelike*

*He stomps down on Setsuna's leg with such cruel force that his tibia fragments*

Jimmy: Give me one good reason I shouldn't blow your brains out.

Kat: *Limps up, a wound bleeding in her leg*

Jimmy: Do you want a pistol-whipping, or are you going to talk?

*His aura begins to grow more potent*

[ Suddenly, Setsuna's eyes begin glowing ]

Setsuna: ughh... Allelujah!

[ As he screams, a blast of pure electricity radiates from his body. All around, people screams as their bodies are turned to dust. Jimmy screams in insane pain as his Revolver is turned to molten metal and burns the flesh of his fingers ]

Setsuna: Kekekeke... No, Allelujah! Stop!

[ Desert Town Calharn: ]

Jimmy: ENOUGH!!

*Pure darkness explodes from him*

*Tendrils of shadow enter Setsuna's body through his mouth and nose*

Jimmy: *Easily reforms his gun* ...XXX-XXX XXXX XXXX XX-XX-XXX...

*The dark energies fade, leaving Setsuna paralyzed*

Jimmy: ...I...Have had...Enough. *Fingers trigger*

*After a series of gunshots, he's placed five bullets in a perfect circle on Setsuna's chest*

*Lines of crimson energy form a pentagram, and begin to split their body in two*

Jimmy: ...Listen...Whoever you are...This is your last chance...Or you...Will suffer...

*An immense demonic presence forms, and a horrible silhouette forms above Jimmy*

Jimmy: ... *Voice warps* ...If you attack once more...You will see true pain...

Kat: ... *Is too frightened to move away* ...

[ Setsuna grins ]

[ He reaches up to punch Jimmy round the face with the last of his strength ]

Setsuna: Try me.

[ Route to Ide: ]

[ CHARACTER STORY TWEAK~! ]

Viin: Well, Chirrup here is from around these parts, she is supposed to know her way around here, but nevermind.

*She looks at Petal in her arms*

Viin: And this little insect is from Subnixus. Maybe you've heard of it.

*She seems not to notice that she hasn't said where she comes from*

Chirrup: I wasn't brought up around other Dhelp, Viin raised me~

Viin: Found you as a kid playing in some sand when I was about 17. I thought I could make you into a battle drone that would do anything I say. *Sigh* How wrong I was...

Chirrup: But... But...

*Her self esteem drops*

[ Road to Ide: ]

Tager: Interesting.

*He falls silent for a while, before speaking*

Tager: ...During a war that most have forgotten, I was abandoned by my "comrades" and left to die. Kokonoe found me and rebuilt my body. Ever since, I've pledged my loyalty to her. Not the most fascinating of stories.

Lambda: *Murmurs in her sleep*

[ Desert Town Calharn: ]

Jimmy: Oh, you'll regret that.

*A pillar of real hellfire engulfs Setsuna*

*Every cell in his body is scathed by wholly demonic agony*

*His very soul is burned in the flames*

Jimmy: You will regret hurting my friends...Huh?

Kat: *Grabs him from behind* Stop it!! Please, just stop it!!

*The flames recede from Setsuna's body, leaving him paralyzed and unable to move*

Kat: You...You had conquered that b@stard...Don't let him control your body like that worm lets another being control his so easily...

Jimmy: ... *Gently hugs Kat back* ...Fine. *Holsters his revolver, eyes returning more to normal*

*Without another word, he and Kat return to the Sky Card*

*In a few moments, it's left again*

[ Setsuna lays in absolute agony, His original personality returning

Setsuna: Why, Allelujah... Why...

[ He closes his eyes... for the last time ]

[ Sky Card: ]

Flair: *Searching through piles of stuff*

*His eyes bugged out, he continues rifling around*

Flair: ...Where is it where is it where is it where is it...!?

*Tracking some sounds to a doorway, he finds Scarlet inside*

*She is using a screwdriver on some kind of gun-like device*

Flair: *Dashes over, snatching it away* What are you doing!?

Scarlet: *Gazes up at him innocently* ...Fixin' it...

Flair: This is a legendary prop from countless sci-fi classics!! It does not need fix -

*His finger accidentally pulls on the trigger*

*A crackling beam erupts upward and into the ceiling*

Flair: ... *Stares straight upwards* ...

Scarlet: Fixed eet. *Smile*

*The Tram carrying Kal, and Co arrives*

[ Rhadan Desert, Tram's Arrival: ]

*As the four step off, they find themselves before a huge mountain range*

Erika: ...Ikebukuro is further upward and into these mountains. *Prepares to go ahead*

*She stops and turns to look at the others with a soft expression*

Erika: You're still coming with me...Right...?

Kal: Well...

*Skyla kicks him in the balls, her face isn't happy*

Skyla: We wouldn't leave you here, well go see your friends with you before searching for hoodlums to slaught..I mean capture.

[ Foot of the Mountain Range: ]

Erika: Awesome~! Let's go!

*She leads the group up a narrow, winding pass*

Erika: You guys are gonna love Ikebukuro~

*A giggle escapes her*

*Meanwhile, Scarlet is intently staring at a small battery*

Flair: I don't know! Scarlet just took a screwdriver to it, and -

*The faint smell of singed fur can be detected wafting on the air*

Scarlet: *Pulls tongue away from battery, shivering* Bad idea. Baaad idea.

Kat: ...Uh-huh. Flair, have you been using that paintbrush as a bong again?

*Raising the small "prop" above his head, he winces*

*He pulls the trigger, and...!!*

*As she strolls off, Flair gazes blankly down at the laser*

*His eyes move to Scarlet, clearly demanding an explanation*

Scarlet: ...Oh. It hassa rilly small bat-err-ee.

*She quickly scampers off, leaving Flair all alone*

Flair: ...Oh, whatever. *Tosses the raygun onto the table*

*He walks out, yawning slightly*

*Kensa gives Samjam his usual grin*

Kensa: Pleased to meet ya. I'm Kensa and this is mah crew. *He gestures to Etende and Jarvis*

Etende: We're not your- Uh, I mean, hi. *She frowns at Kensa*

Jarvis: Hello.

Kensa: So are we helping you, or are you helping us?

Greg: Kalvin, you do realize...

Kal: Yep. as you saw, Skyla wants to go forward anyway. Our job is body guard, not life coach.

*In very little time, they arrive at one end of a huge bridge*

*By huge, I mean it spans a misty canyone so wide that the other end can't be seen*

*Thankfully, there's more than enough room for the group to cross safely*

Erika: Well let's get on, then! *Leads the way further*

*A sound can be heard...Almost like...A motor...*

Erika: *Says nothing on the noise*

Kal: And so it begins...
