    Subject 08 Empty Subject 08

Post by Klak Mon Dec 23, 2013 12:55 am

Trying my hand at a new style of story inspired by the SCP wiki. Sadly, this is not Christmas-themed.

    LOG NUMBER: 001
    DATE: 9th of September, █████
    SCIENTIST NAME: FIGLIO DI ARMECHIO
    SUBJECT NAME: ██████████
    SUBJECT NUMBER: 08

    DESCRIPTION AND DATA:

The subject has been imprisoned for over a year now. According to Protocol 3B, under Council Law GB-312, this means that enhanced interrogation and/or psychological rehabilitation can commence for Class-X Offenders. Subject 08, known as ██████████, is well known for his Class-X offenses, which include assault, battery, murder, theft, and attempts to erase █████.

For the first day, Subject 08 was given a routine psychological profile. Dr. Earl Lascovitz suspected at first that he had paranoid schizophrenia, which is found in his species as well as several others. However, further evaluations rendered his analysis to be a conjecture at best. Nevertheless, he is still suffering from Post-Tramautic Stress Disorder given his experience with █████.

Pain tests followed the evaluations. The first test was in a room that reduced his abilities. Nothing out of the ordinary for his species, other than the fact that he only screamed when in pain, and said no word (his injuries have not yet healed). However, after placing him in a room that did not dampen his magic…well…two of our scientists, █████ and █████, quickly died. The autopsies we conducted later found that they had died of something similar to dehydration. Instead of water, however, it was their literal life force.

Security guards had to restrain Subject 08. The subsequent tests found that the subject's pain threshold had increased dramatically.

After these tests, Subject 08 was locked in his cell. We left a notebook for him and instructed him to write his thoughts overnight. Tomorrow, these inscriptions will be examined.

This is looking interesting, good to see inspiration taken from the SCP universe (after all, it started off as a small imaginative site just like us)!

Is the subject a character we have already been introduced to, or hinted at, or an upcoming character?

Thanks! And wow, it did? That's inspiring.

    LOG: 002
    DATE: 10th of September, █████
    SCIENTIST NAME: EARL LASCOVITZ
    SUBJECT NAME: ██████████
    SUBJECT NUMBER: 08

The previous tests produced some interesting results. The notebook had about 200 pages in it. Subject 08 wrote on every single one of them. 50% of these pages were marked with inscriptions of some sort of magical caliber. They will be taken to a lab for analysis. 10% of the remaining pages were repetitions of the following phrase:

"THE KESTORA MUST PAY, █████ WILL DIE"

Every single line was filled with that phrase. The rest of the pages were catalogues of his feelings and a vivid description of the cell.

A psychological factor that I am now taking into account is Subject 08's location. Whenever we visit him, we take him out of his cell and to a facility on a planet several parsecs away. However, when we're done with him, he is placed in a nether room between his home universe, and our own universe. The consequences of inter-dimensional housing have never been evaluated on this level. Nothing notable has happened just yet, and I have no expectations so far.

After our page examinations, I stood by while ██████████ was given a physical. When Subject 08 was captured, a quick physical evaluation found him to be battered thanks to the battle. Luckily, most of his physical wounds have healed (save for his █████ █████). His physical strength, heart rate, etc. are all at superhuman levels.

There was a minor inconvenience when he was being escorted out of the physical. Subject 08 thought it was wise to snap the neck of a guard. We had to send 2 shock troopers (and I mean that literally) to subdue him.

That is the second violent outburst of Subject 08. I find the situation to be more and more perilous. I requested to have guards next time I have to sit down with him. I also asked Figlio to leave another notebook, but to instruct ██████████ to write a maximum of 10 pages a day, and a minimum of 1 page a day.

All in all, it seems like this is going to be an interesting experiment, and I am happy that Figlio recruited me for it.

NOTE: Klak, I hope you have found these logs useful. Unfortunately, the collection is incomplete. I do apologize for this.-Coro

    LOG 005:
    DATE: 13 OF SEPTEMBER, █████
    SCIENTIST NAME: FIGLIO DI ARMECHIO
    SUBJECT NAME: ██████████
    SUBJECT NUMBER: 08

As stated in previous logs, Subject 08 went for several days without killing anyone. His writings over the past few days were less disturbing, and consisted of a few pages on random topics in the supernatural. This period of tranquility with the Subject ended today.

Note to all future testers: Subject 08 is not to be left near any sort of utensil, not even a plastic knife. While receiving his meal in our cafeteria as part of the "Can He Function Normally In A Cafeteria Test", he telekinetically lifted his plastic fork into the air and rammed it into the throat of a guard. The other guards quickly subdued him, but by then it was already too late.

Subject 08 has killed about 4 guards since Log 001. This shows that he is twice as violent as he was before his arraignment. Dr. Lascovitz keeps saying that the inter-dimensional housing has torn his psyche apart.

Also, Subject 08 has made his first attempt at communication today (other than the notebooks and a few facial expressions of course). Given his ██████████, he decided to speak telepathically to Dr. Lascovitz and all those spectating today's psychology session. I was one of the spectators.

He was asked routine questions: his name, DOB, etc., along with why he was imprisoned. Subject 08's answer to the last was ████████████████████, an extremely vague answer.

Although he gave simple answers, we have concluded that we are inching closer to the second phase of our operation: interrogation. We have reason to believe that his crimes were simply means to an end much larger than what was revealed at the trial. While ██████████'s psyche is certainly damaged, but Dr. Lascovitz says he is almost certain Subject 08 will answer everything with the right amount of persuasion. His physical capacity also shows that he is willing to take  █████ amounts of  ██████.

Another thing to note is that the two guards who deposited Subject 08 in his inter-dimensional prison last night reported having nightmares when they went to sleep.

    LOG 017:
    DATE: 25 OF SEPTEMBER, █████.
    SCIENTIST NAME: FIGLIO DI ARMECHIO
    SUBJECT NAME: ██████████
    SUBJECT NUMBER: 08

Phase two of the process has begun. We housed Subject 08 in an interrogation room that dampened his abilities. Commander Jerid and I started the interrogation process. Subject 08 refused to speak or make any other attempts at communication. We promptly decided to use an enhanced technique. We used one where Jerid and I put on earplugs and played an extremely high pitched noise. Subject 08 was unfazed at first, but almost immediately after we increased the pitch, he began to writhe.

Afterwards, he telepathically told us that he wanted to "rewrite everything". He refused to clarify. We released him to his cell.

I checked his writing for today. It was the word "Zev Raregroove" over and over again, whatever that means.

Subject 08 has gone 10 days without attempting to murder anyone, or actually succeeding in doing so.

Guards who deposit him in his cell continue to report nightmares. One of them sat down with Dr. Lascovitz. The doctor determined that he is needs a vacation. Apparently he's no longer mentally fit to be a guard.

    LOG 078:
    DATE: 25 OF NOVEMBER, █████.
    SCIENTIST NAME: Cmdr. Slate
    SUBJECT NAME: ██████████
    SUBJECT NUMBER: 08

That's the third guard to commit suicide this week. We've lost about 12 guards thanks to Subject 08. I am sending a letter to the Council. This experimentation idea is a huge mistake. The prisoner should be left alone to rot in his cell.
