These are basically supposed to be extracts from some sort of log that an adventurer has kept during his travels.
These things aren't in order, by the way. And there's not supposed to be any way of telling the order anyways. Mostly because I'll be writing about what I feel like.
Here's the first one:
"I remember the beast so clearly, the image in my head so sharp. I remember the unforgiving black claws that tore into the dry ground like it was the softest sand. I remember the eyes the most. Black, staring eyes. With a circle of silver in the middle. Every time it looked at something, it seemed to be for an eternity, before you come back to reality and realize that it was only a second.
The creature's body was long like a serpent, its feathers like black jewels, glistening in the moonlight. It moved so fast that my eyes could barely keep up with the blur of black feather and claw. The magnificently powerful body twisted and turned in different ways, while being constantly thrown forward by powerful clawed feet- I couldn't tell how many.
The movements of this creature seemed in itself hypnotic, but the feelings set in the most when I caught a glimpse of its face. I cannot describe its face to you any more than saying that it contained a great deal of intelligence, while still retaining the air of proud beast. The large beak opened and closed rhythmically, and I felt my organs tremble as it produced a sound too low for me to hear.
As for the size of the thing, it's body was at least as thick as an oak. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less. I was terrified. Absolutely terrified."
